Heart of the Home

Just as it is woman who makes a house a home, it is Mother who is the heart of the home. When she is gone, there is a gigantic void that a sister and daughter is unable to fill. (As I've found from experience!) Our sweet Mom left Friday afternoon for a weekend retreat up in the quietness of the mountains with Mrs. Seymour and Mrs. Pool, sisters in Christ and fellow homeschool Moms. Her cheerful smile, warm and ready hugs, the times she sits and just talks with each one of us, her merry laughter, her zest and energy, are all greatly missed by her family! We pray that she enjoys blessed rest, fellowship, and rejuvenation (sp?) while away, and that she will hurry back to us tomorrow!

Praise the Lord for Mothers!

"Praise the Lord for Mothers."

I would add a hearty "Amen" to that!

Still waiting for a certain individual to post their 7's list. Won't mention any names at this time but will soon be tempted!

It humbles me to see what Sally wrote while I was away! All I can say is praise the Lord for precious spirited capable daughters who can fill in the gap while mothers are away! What a gift to a mother to not have to worry while she is away because she has confidence that all has being taken care of, from the cooking and clean up, to meeting the needs of the young hearts of the family while mom is away. I love my Sally and what a blessing she is!
