The Lord is good to those who wait for him. To the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

Good scripture.
The very verses (along with vss 22-24: "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. "The Lord is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him.") that came back to me again and again when I thought we'd never have children (during the years of multiple miscarriages). God had his plan for us -- and it DID include children! -- but I couldn't see it at the time. May we all know his compassion "according to the abundance of his steadfast love."
