Vacationing-Stop 1-

We had a wonderful trip to Oregon and Washington in May. Peter Telian joined us to capture some video for a project he's developing. Highlights included attending my cousin Heidi Maricle's high school graduation, sharing in the joy of Ashley and Jeff Baird's wedding celebration, and visiting many old friends.

The night we arrived, all of us younger folks gathered around the table to play the 'story game'. Roars of laughter followed as we read the results. :-)

The Maricle Family: Frank, Aunt Cindy, Heidi, Uncle Scott, (second row) Emily and Miranda

Heidi and I have shared a close friendship since we were tiny. We have many similar interests but especially a love for the Lord Jesus Christ. I'm so thankful for cousins!
At a home school graduation, congratulations are in order for the parents as well as the child. So congratulations Uncle Scott and Aunt Cindy!

Tho' I'd had a quick look at this before, I finally took the time to go more slowly and enjoy it all! I'm wondering if the "story game" is like the Mad Gabs that Kaylee had us doing in the car on our trip - producing the same results as your pictures show. Kaylee could hardly breathe, Jenny could barely finish reading, Tim was wheezing, I was in tears - all in L.A. traffic! Sounds like you had a wonderful time on your trip -and all your summer adventures. Nice worms, too, Jacob! (And Simon's "Do Hard Things" t-shirt reminds me: all the young people in our church are going to read that this Fall. We'll enjoy some good discussion of it.)
Nice to see you again back home here!
